"Light in the Forest"
As a child my mind was a bit of a tangle; wallpaper patterns, strangers, church hats, swooping ravens and the neighbors’ underwear hanging on the line. I see my past as a series of experiences, titillation, fear and awe that woven together create the narratives of my youth. My installation “Light in the Forest” is an exploration of my own myths, fears and safe places constructed from towering silk paintings and hung to surround the viewer in layers of beauty and veiled apparitions.
